We've taken the plunge into the solar future -- with installation in October of a 5.16 kilowatt system. The local utility threw the switch in mid-December. We've been generating up to 28 kilowater hours a day. We won't know until later in the year what the true impact is on our electric bill. But it should be a very significant savings and our 2011 Nissan Leaf -- an all electric car -- will be rolling along powered by the sun.
