January's New Zealand Holiday
Barbara and Bob spent part of last month in New Zealand -- much of it north of Auckland in the beautiful Bay of Islands.
Amanda and Ian -- along with our grandchildren (Bridget, 13 and Henry, 4) -- who live in Sydney, joined us for the delightful Kiwi holiday.
Another highlight was spending time with long-time friends and former Santa Monica neighbors John and Wendy Goldsbury, now retired New Zealanders who live in that portion of the North Island.
It's their yacht that you see us out on in some of the shots.
We had a nice stretch of good weather--unusual in NZ this January (where it is mid-summer).
We spent six nights at Paihia, then the last two nights down in the big city, Auckland, the largest in New Zealand.
